Dear Sirs,

This is to inform you of our present status and of our future plans regarding the RoHS/WEEE Directive, which goes into effect July of 2006.

Under the RoHS Directive, the following six hazardous substances may no longer be used:

  Lead
  Mercury
  Cadmium
  Hexavalent Chromium
  Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
  Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

We currently use three of these substances, Lead, Cadmium, and Hexavalent Chromium, in some of our products, during the soldering phase of component assembly.

Lead and Cadmium: We plan to stop using these substances by July 1st, 2005.  Currently, the following products DO NOT utilize these substances:

MW12B, MH22B, SW22E, SP22E, LCP12, LCP15
MA, MB, DA (dials)

Hexavalent Chromium: We plan to stop using this substance by January 1st, 2006.  On and after that date, all of our products will meet all of the RoHS Directive requirements.

Thank you and Best Regards,
